Each week former Florida State Seminoles make an impact for their team, and this week was no different. There were many great performances but none more than Sebastian Janikowski as we will tell you in our recap below.
***
Sebastian Janikowski - Oakland Raiders
On a day when the offense could move the ball but not punch it into the endzone, Janikowski was there to help his team hitting 5/6 field goals scoring the only points. The Raiders beat the Chiefs 15-0. He was able to connect from 20, 50, 57, 41 and 30 yards. His 57 yard field goal was his longest of the season. The kick he missed was from 51 yards out and went wide left.
Chris Hope - Atlanta Falcons
Chris Hope started at safety for the Atlanta Falcons during their blowout win over the New York Giants making four solo tackles and one assisted tackle. His tackles were made in the first half with three of them stopping the run and the other two during pass plays. Although he was unable to make a tackle in the second half he did come up with a fumble recovery late in the fourth, his first of the season.
Antone Smith - Atlanta Falcons
Smith played on special teams during the rout of the Giants but was unable to make a tackle.
Tony Carter - Denver Broncos
It was a quite afternoon for Tony Carter during a win for the Broncos over the Ravens. He had two solo tackles and spent time covering all of the Ravens receivers including holding Anquan Boldin to zero receptions.
Anquan Boldin - Baltimore Ravens
With the firing of Cam Cameron and the hiring of Jim Caldwell all thought that the Ravens offense would move the ball a lot better. That was not the case on Sunday as the Ravens fell to the Broncos 34-17. Boldin was held without a catch for the first time since the 2005 season.
Geno Hayes - Chicago Bears
Geno was inactive for the Bears as they took on the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury.
Greg Jones - Jacksonville Jaguars
Jones had one rush for three yards during a loss to the Miami Dolphins. His rush came on 3rd and 1 when he was able to convert by running behind the right guard.
Mike Harris - Jacksonville Jaguars
During his third consecutive start for the Jaguars, Mike Harris recorded seven solo tackles and had one pass deflection. For the season he has 45 tackles with one sack and one interception.
Patrick Robinson - New Orleans Saints
During the blowout over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Patrick Robinson had a fairly easy day coming up with three solo tackles. The Bucs tried to stay away from the former Seminole but that did not seem to matter as the other corners came up with four interceptions.
Brodrick Bunkley - New Orleans Saints
Bunkley made one assisted tackle during the win over the Buccaneers.
Dekoda Watson - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Watson played on special teams for the Buccaneers but was unable to make a tackle.
Letroy Guion - Minnesota Vikings
The former Seminole made one solo tackle and had one pass deflection during their win over the Saint Louis Rams.
Christian Ponder - Minnesota Vikings
It was a solid week for Ponder not making any mistakes to hurt his team. He finished 17/24 for 131 yards with four rushes for six yards including a five yard touchdown scramble. With the way Adrian Peterson is running the ball it makes since for the Vikings to keep Ponder on a leash with pass attempts. The Vikings are still in the hunt for a playoff spot with the win today and are projected as the last team in.
Darnell Dockett - Arizona Cardinals
As the Cardinals were able to get off the losing skid it was a hard day for Darnell Dockett who only had one solo tackle.
Andre Fluellen - Detroit Lions
In his first game with the Detroit Lions this season, Andre Fluellen was able to get some playing time but did not have a tackle in their loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Leon Washington - Seattle Seahawks
It was another blowout for the Seahawks this week, but Leon Washington did not get as big of a workload late in the game. He ended up with two rushes for five yards. Leon also had three kickoff returns for an average of 22 yards along with three punt returns for an average of six yards.
Nigel Bradham - Buffalo Bills
There is not much to talk about with the Bills defense as they gave up 50 points to the Seahawks during their loss. Bradham had three solo tackles and two assisted tackles, four of his tackles came while playing linebacker and the other came on special teams. This was his ninth consecutive start during his rookie season.
Shawn Powell - Buffalo Bills
Although it was not his busiest day of the season, Shawn Powell did not have it easy punting four times for an average of 48.5 yards. Powell had one land inside the 20 yard line with a long of 60 yards. Three of his punts were able to be returned for a total of 20 yards.
Garrison Sanborn - Buffalo Bills
Garrison was perfect on all of his snap attempts.
Lawrence Timmons - Pittsburgh Steelers
It was another productive week for Steelers inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons who was able to make five solo tackles and one assisted tackle including one sack. His sack came as Tony Romo dropped back and Timmons go through and hit him for a loss of 13 yards.
Ernie Sims - Dallas Cowboys
Ernie played inside linebacker for the Cowboys during their overtime win against the Steelers but was unable to make a tackle. He was later forced to leave the game with a concussion. It was the first time this season during his eight games that he did not record a tackle.
Graham Gano - Carolina Panthers
Gano had a perfect day kicking for the Panthers during their win over the Chargers Sunday. He was 4/4 on extra-points and hit a 33 yard field goal.
Kamerion Wimbley - Tennessee Titans
During the Titans win over the New York Jets on MNF, Kamerion Wimbley made three solo tackles while starting at defensive end.
Antonio Cromartie - New York Jets
