Taiwan Easterling has played in 62 games as an outfielder for the Peoria Chiefs, the MiLB class A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. He is currently batting .237 with 25 runs scored and 23 RBIs. While at Florida State he was a two sport athlete, also playing football as a wide receiver. He could have played another year but decided to sign his MLB contract.
The Chiefs will start a series against the Dayton Dragons on Wednesday July 11, as Taiwan looks to extend his hitting streak. In his past three games he has four hits with two being doubles.
