Ernie Sims of the Dallas Cowboys accounted for three solo tackles and one assisted tackle during their loss to the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving Day. Sims should receive the start next with an increased roll as the Cowboys lost another lineback to a season ending injury.
Antonio Cromartie of the New York Jets was unable to make a tackle against the New England Patriots. This was the first time all season he was held without a tackle.
Letroy Guion of the Minnesota Vikings made one solo tackle and one assisted tackle in a loss to the Chicago Bears.
Christian Ponder of the Minnesota Vikings had a rough day against the Bears defense. He was 22/43 for 159 yards with one touchdown, a fumble and an interception. Ponder continues to struggle getting the ball down the field. His longest pass play was a 25 yard pass in which the receiver ran after the catch. The offensive line gave up two sacks which hurts his cause of trying to let plays develop.
Geno Hayes of the Chicago Bears was out on special teams but was unable to make a tackle.
Sebastian Janikowski of the Oakland Raiders seems to be the only bright spot on the team. He was able to kick a 55 yard field goal and was perfect on his only extra point attempt.
Lawrence Timmons of the Pittsburgh Steelers keeps proving why he is one of the best inside linebackers in the NFL. He again led the Steelers in tackles with a total of 10, six solo and four assisted. Timmons was also able make an interception off of a tipped pass that he returned 53 yards for a touchdown. His interception marked his third of the season which is a career high.
Nigel Bradham of the Buffalo Bills had a very productive day against the Colts. He was able to collect seven total tackles, four solo and three assisted. Two of his solo tackles came on special teams.
Shawn Powell of the Buffalo Bills had to punt seven times yesterday for an average of 44.9 yards. He was able to land three inside the 20 and had a long of 57. One of his punts was returned for a touchdown. Since joining the roster in week four, Powell has punted 41 times for an average of 5.1 punts a game.
Garrison Sanborn of the Buffalo Bills was perfect on all of his snap attempts.
Kamerion Wimbley of the Tennessee Titans was able to record one sack against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He now has 4.5 sacks on the season.
Mike Harris of the Jacksonville Jaguars is starting to become a corner you do not want to test. Yesterday the Titans thought that they could pick on the rookie but he stepped up in a huge way. Harris had a huge day collecting five solo tackles including a sack, deflecting three passes including one interception.
Tony Carter of the Denver Broncos had a rather quite day against the Chiefs, making two solo tackles during their win.
Leon Washington of the Seattle Seahawks returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown marking his 8th career kickoff return for a touchdown which ties the NFL record. He also returned two punts for an average of 15 yards.
Chris Hope of the Atlanta Falcons was out on special teams but did not make a tackle in their win against the Buccaneers.
Antone Smith of the Atlanta Falcons made one solo tackle on special teams.
Dekoda Watson of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played on special teams but did not have a tackle.
Darnell Dockett of the Arizona Cardinals had one solo tackle and one assisted tackle in a loss to the Rams.
Brodrick Bunkley of the New Orleans Saints made one assisted tackle in their loss to the 49ers.
Patrick Robinson of the New Orleans Saints was able to make two total tackles, one solo and one assisted in their loss to the 49ers. He also had one pass deflection and one interception.
Anquan Boldin of the Baltimore Ravens had two catches for 42 yards against the Chargers. Although he was not able to catch more passes, Boldin proved he can make a difference. On fourth and a mile late in the game Boldin set a huge block to help Ray Rice convert for the first down; this later led to a field goal to tie the game and send it to overtime.
