Randy Choate pitched a perfect ninth inning on Tuesday night as the Miami Marlins held a 6-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Since giving up an earned run on May 3rd, the Seminole has been pretty good in 7 appearances throwing 4.1 innings of shutout ball with six strikeouts.
He has lowered his ERA from 1.59 to 0.90. Next for the Marlins is a road trip to the Atlanta Braves, where Choate could face fellow Seminole Matt Diaz.
