Seminoles Update In Milb

Hunter Scantling relief pitcher for the Connecticut Tigers:  Hunter has had a stellar year for the Tigers pitching in ten games.  He has thrown 17 innings and only allowed two earned runs with opposing batters only hitting 0.075.  During those innings he has collected 15 strikeouts and gave up three walks.  The Tigers only have 10 games left in the season so Hunter may only pitch 1 to 2 more times.

Robert Benincasa relief pitcher for the Auburn Doubledays:  Robert has pitched great for the Doubledays during his first season.  He has pitched in 14 games throwing a total of 15.1 innings.  Only allowing five earned runs while giving up 19 hits.  Robert has forced 22 strikeouts and batters are hitting .302 against him. Right now he is on the 7-day DL and should be back around the 29th or 30th of this month.

Sherman Johnson infielder for the Orem Owlz:  Sherman has played in 44 games for the Owlz since turning pro back in June.  During those games he is batting .262 with 39 hits.  He has scored 31 runs and batted in 17 runners.  Johnson has been very consistent in the box taking what he can get.  He has drawn 37 base on balls while only striking out 30 times.  His on base percentage is a .413 almost 200 points better than his batting average.  Right now the Owlz are in first place trying to get a spot in the playoffs.

Check back tomorrow for the rest of the Seminoles in the Milb update.
